it was 10 times better than the last fantasy miniseries they did... but considering that miniseries was absolutely dreadful, that's not actually all that much of a compliment.
the writing was ok... tho VERY cliche'd... but that didn't put me off as much as the acting of the two main characters! (the main dood and his love) Wow did they suck.
remember that line from Anchorman... "what a glorious rainbow!" "DO ME ON IT!"
that basically sums up the meeting and falling in love of the two main peeps. A meteor falls from the sky... they both follow it... they fuck right next to it... they fall in love forever! now I see why Jeremy likes astronomy so much.
action sequences were pretty lame too... but I must say I liked their dragon. When he disjointed his mouth like the Predator, I was impressed... it looked cool. Sadly, he wasn't a very fearsome dragon otherwise. He spit fire once and it lit a bale of hey on fire... and that was it... meh
so overall... nothing to write home about. But I kinda feel obligated to watch these things since, who knows, I could possibly try to be involved in making one one day.
