That's a real nice ballpark though.

Raven's Stadium isn't bad either..

That is one thing they have done right here..

The ballpark he's got now is as bland as it gets. I think Camden Yards was one of the best things to happen to baseball. Really set the mark for how parks should be built. All they need to do now is kill off their owner.

man I cant wait to see these bats. Jeter, Arod, Cano, Hideki, Damon, Sheff, Giambi, etc.
QuickMar 31, 2006 8:40:10 am
lol Willy Mo to the Redsux and Arroyo to the Reds. I am soooo glad Arroyo is audi Boston. I really think he's on the verge of being an dominant ace and the fact that he isnt in Boston makes me smile....and the fact that strike out king Willy Mo is just adds to the delite.
PnbMar 31, 2006 8:43:23 am
That guys' ERA is going to skyrocket.
PnbMar 31, 2006 8:42:00 am
It'll go

Damon
Jeter
Sheffield
Arod
Giambi
Matsui
Williams
Posada
Cano

I think if Giambi keeps hitting well they'll stuff him and Matsui between the righty hitters. That'll give em a nightmare R/L/R/L combo.

I'm sure at some point Jeter will bat leadoff and Damon second though. Jeter's OBP is one of the best in the league.

Regardless the top of that lineup is just rediculous. Most think they'll get to 900 runs.
QuickMar 31, 2006 8:43:33 am
is Bernie just DH now?
PnbMar 31, 2006 8:45:23 am
He's primarily a DH but with that aging lineup he'll see a lot of time in RF and Center. If the WBC is any sign though he looks ready for it. Did real well in the DH spot for PR.
ThorMar 31, 2006 8:48:53 am
why? it's sickening to have this many great players on one team, they should completely dominate the game with this lineup. but I don't want to see it happen so i hope they all fail miserably.
PnbMar 31, 2006 8:50:53 am
The AL is just f'n stacked, espcially the AL East. I'd be surprised if there's a 100 game winner in the AL. I'm sure there'll be one in the NL.

we loves teh hate!
PnbMar 31, 2006 8:53:31 am
I remember when Steinbrenner got all pissed when John Henry called the Yanks "The Evil Empire". Pissed? lol I f00ked loved that. And you think our payroll is bad now? hehe just wait untill they get that new stadium. Yanks are gonna make mad loot of that. Effectively getting a 1.2 billion dollar stadium/grounds for $300 million. Crazy.
QuickMar 31, 2006 8:55:41 am
No more welfare checks for the rest of the league.

MUHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!

It *is* the Empire. Embrace it!

At at time when they're going to be making more money than ever before.

QuickMar 31, 2006 9:05:11 am
Who was it last year...Tampa? They had a payroll that was less than what they received from JUST the Yanks in revenue sharing.
