I dont understand how someone like that even gets their own comedy special let alone a frikkin' movie deal.

BLAH.

I warned everyone we'd regret it afterwards... and we did.

jokingly I suggested we go see the Larry the Cable Guy movie instead... so I just made this

Would be interested to hear someone from here having a review though.

More concerned if it has enough laughs to put in my queue when it hits DVD. Let's face it, the Blue Collar Comedy tour stuff had some great moments. I don't expect a real 'movie' to come close...but it could have some laughs.

I never got the 'might be a redneck guy', either. (cant remember his name)

Larry is just dumb and ingrown (but that's his 'thing').
Jeff is a good ol boy redneck.
Ron (i think) is the one always sipping a drink and smoking a cigar...not even what I would consider a redneck, but very funny.
The last guy seems just like an everyday person and brings some normalness to the group.

if they wanted a "funny" horror flick (and a lot of people assume any horror flick is going to be of the "Scream" variety these days), then they will be bitterly disappointed. There was very little humor in this movie. If they want to see cannibalistic mutants killing people with axes and whatnot, well there you go. Have at it.

i never saw teh original (at least not all the way through), so i cant compare it to that, but i would say if you liked Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original--didnt see the remake), you'd probably dig it. It was probably the level of TCM2.

It wasnt that bad of a movie, honestly. I dont see why people are bagging on it. It wasnt quite as cliche-ridden as most horror flicks. The direction was pretty good (although listen for the Lost chick's accent, which slips through noticeably a few times).

I dont know what people expected. It's a movie about cannibals trapping people in the desert, and what happens to one family who falls into their trap. I mean what do people expect? As far as these movies go, it was one of the better ones.

we were going to see it at the theater but it started too early and we couldnt make it thru dinner in time so we saw 16 Blocks instead.

I still have High Tension and Undead to watch. I tried watching them a couple times but something else always came up. Either march madness games, Oblvion, etc.
