It's a possible upgrade for the future, when I would go with 2 Nvidia cards. (by the time I want to do that, the x1900xt will be so far out of date, having crossfire and adding a second wouldn't be worth it) (The crossfire mobo is also about $80 more) (And, I've heard SLI is better/more supported than Crossfire)

The price difference between the SLI mobo and non-SLI board is ~$20 - worth a few extra dollars just in case I want to try that in the future.

the x1900xt is pretty much equal to the 7900GTX, but $100 cheaper.
