yes... they are both black QBs (thus folks stereotype them together) who can run really freakin fast... but that's where the similarities end
shall we take a look at the numbers? yes... we shall. let's hope the spacing works out ok...
Vick's 2000 stats (10 games):
PASSING - 161 att, 87 comp = 54.0 %
1234 yards
8 tds
7.66 yards/att
14.18 yards/comp
6 ints (int % = 3.76)
123.40 yards/game
RUSHING -
104 att, 617 yards = 5.9 per att
8 tds
AND NOW VINCE last year (13 games):
PASSING - 325 att, 212 comp = 65.2 %
3036 yards
26 tds
9.34 yards/att
14.32 yards/comp
10 ints (int % = 3.07)
233.5 yards/game
RUSHING -
155 att, 1050 yards = 6.77 per att
12 tds
sound like a valid comparison now folks? didn't think so.
to take this one step further let's extend Vick's season out 3 games by adding his per game averages to his totals and compare side by side.

passing yards - 1604 -- 3036 HUGE advantage VY
tds passing ---- 10 -- 26 HUGE advantage VY
rushing yards -- 802 -- 1050 BIG advantage VY (it's the almost 1 yard per carry advantage)
rushing tds ----- 10 -- 12 (AD VY)
ok... in all honesty, I'll give you MV is better than or at the very least, equal to Vince in the running department (even tho the stats favor VY). But for all you people to equate Vince to Vick as a PASSER is simply idiotic.
Oh and Vince also finished 3rd in the Passing Efficiency ratings this year... his 163.9 is better than one Matt Leinart's 157.7 against the feared pass defenses in the PAC10.
