Are you getting the new season over there? Or is it last year's shows you're getting?

I heard a rumor that Billie Piper said she's going to quit in the near future too.
Without giving away any plot points, how would you say the second season is shaping up? I like what I'm seeing for Season 1, even though some episodes are better than others.
Oh yeah, the episode they showed on Friday was The Empty Child (first part of a 2-parter). That's the one with the kid with the gas mask fused to his face and that weird plague, and the introduction of that Captain Jack guy, who I understand is going to get a spin-off show now.
